April Favourites

Hello lovelies, welcome back to Chat with Cath!

Anyway, as promised, here are my April favourites.
I'd like to start with beauty. I went overseas on a school tour at the beginning of April, and as it was a school culture tour, went to sea an opera and ballet at the Vienna State Opera House.  I needed a really simple easy makeup look, as we were given only about half an hour to get ready for both occasions.  The eye shadow quad that really saved my life was the Rimmel London Glam Quad in 023 Beauty Spells.  It's a really fantastic colour combination.  It includes a very light silver which is great for highlighting the brow bone and inner corners of your eyes.  It has two mauve/purple shades, one matte and one glitter. My only woe with this product is the glitter shade.  A lot of excess glitter falls to sit below your eyes when applying this eye shadow. But other than that I have no problems with it at all.  The darker, matte purple shade is great for the crease, and it adds some lovely definition to the eye.  There is also a glittery black, but I did not have the same problem with this shade as I did with the light purple glitter.  This black shade is perfect as a kind of faux eyeliner.  Eyeliner is definitely not my strong suite, so any excuse not to wear it is always welcome.

Moving on to my book favourite. This month I actually have two! They are An Abundance of Katherines by John Green, and If I Stay by Gayle Forman.  I normally try to read an average of 10 books a month, but this month that just didn't work out, what with going on tour, and just the general hustle of life.  I thoroughly enjoyed both books. If I Stay met ALL the high expectations I had, and AAOK was a truly unique piece of literature, and I mean, John Green. You cannot go wrong with John Green. Ever. I am just a little (maybe a lot) OBSESSED with John Green. I have read just three of his books, including AAOK, Looking for Alaska and The Fault in Our Stars. Ah, The Fault in Our Stars. What a piece of  beauty.  There will definitely be a post dedicated to TFiOS in the future. Expect lots of fangirling.

And saved for very last are these mint, which I have only seen at Woolworth Food Market.  They are the Velamints Cool Watermelon mints.  They are lovely and refreshing and sooo tasty.  I have really been enjoying them lately, and I have found that their taste lasts quite a long time, even after the mint itself has disappeared. Their packaging is an adorable slide-to-open tine, it opens nicely, with no spillages, and is the perfect size for your handbag. Full points all round!

And that is all for my April Favourites! Thanks for reading, be sure to following Chat with Cath in Bloglovin', and tell all your friends!

Well Hello There!

Chat with Cath. That's me!

Hello lovelies!

Today is the day I finally decided to start a blog. Yay me for finally having the guts to do so!  I hope to be posting quite regularly,  maybe on weekends as I still have school during the week.
I just want to share with you what beauty products I have been loving, what I'm wearing, what I'm eating and just sort of life style things that I hope interest you, because I

I'll be kicking of the blogging life as soon as I can, perhaps with my April beauty favourites, so keep a look out for that.  Sign up above to my blog to receive an email notification whenever I upload :)

That's all from me for now
Love Cath xx
